Accommodation
Our house in Gaucin with 1 and 2 bedroom accommodation is currently undergoing modernization and is not avialable until June 2009 so for our Andalucian holidays we currently offer Full Board accommodation in modern 2 bedroom apartments on the Costa del Sol near Puerto de Duquesa. The apartments are occupied on a shared basis with a maximum of 4 sharing, they consist of: CASA AGUILA having 1 en-suite twin bedroom and 1 twin bedroom with private bathroom. There is also air-conditioning, a fully fitted kitchen, lounge and a large terrace. The kitchen, lounge and terrace are shared areas between the two occupied rooms (if they are both occupied).
We also have 1 twin room with private facilities within our own apartment CASA CARRACA where you can stay full board.
Bee-eaters are regularly seen (spring and summer) along the entrance road to the apartment complex and a green belt valley lies adjacent to it. Crested Lark, Dartford, Sardinian and Melodious Warblers, along with Red-rumped Swallows are seasonal regulars whilst House Martins have already taken over this new development. A pair of Blue Rock thrushes have taken up residence nearby and Black Redstarts are very common in autumn and winter. The apartments are booked with the understanding that you may have to share with other bird-watchers and like-minded people. There are 3 swimming pools on site (March - October) and the beach is just 15 minutes walk.
We cater for bird-watchers. Providing early breakfast for early birders and large evening meals to satisfy those large appetites after a full day in the field, local wine is included with dinner.
We provide a welcome pack for all new arrivals and give detailed local bird-watching knowledge for those wishing to take an independent holiday.
Airport pick-up
Airport transfer from Malaga, Jerez or Gibraltar is included in the tour price.For non-package tours we can pick you up from the airport for a small charge. From Malaga, Sevilla or Jerez we charge 60 euro each way, from Gibralta the charge is 40 euro.
