Unseasonal bad weather produced overcast skies and light rain over the last 3 days, so our walks have been brief and wet.........

Thurssday 11th..................Dawn and I walked around the Gaucin loop, it rained on and off during the whole 2 hours, suffice to say that very little wildlife was seen,   Jay, Sardinian Warbler, Blackcap and Bonelli's Warbler.

Friday 12th ...................this morning we walked the 7km circular walk around Punta Umbria, the sun came out for brief spells but it rained most of the time, we saw Jay, Cirl Bunting, Iberian Chiffchaff, Eurasian Nuthatch, Sardinian Warbler and  a few Griffon Vultures. Booted Eagles are often calling overhead these last couple of weeks.

Here are a few insects seen lately:

CICADA  Cicada orni

RHINOCEROS BEETLE

FALSE ILEX HAIRSTREAK

LANG'S SHORT-TAILED BLUE

SPANISH GATEKEEPER

SMALL COPPER
