Another glorious sunny day, we have Dawn's sister Ceila with us for a week so we took her for a 3 hour stroll this morning......

We left a little late, it was 10am when we set off, consequently not many birdies were singing or on display. We heard and saw Spotted Flycatcher, Iberian Chiffchaff, Bonelli's Warbler, European Robin, Blackcap, Jay, Eurasian Sparrowhawk, Common Chaffinch, Serin, Crested Tit Great Spotted Woodpecker and Cirl Bunting.

It was the butterflies that grabbed our attention, they were out in high numbers, we saw:  Marbled White, Wood White, Large & Small White, Speckled Wood, Spanish Gatekeeper, Cleopatra, Painted Lady, Red Admiral, Meadow Brown, Ilex Hairstreak and a couple of Blues that eluded my camera.

CLEOPATRA - almost got it with its wings open!
