A very cold morning saw us struggle to get out of the bus, eventually the sun came out and warmed us up. We finally found DIPPER, also ALPINE SWIFT, DARTFORD WARBLER, FIRECREST.............

Although the weather improved somewhat today we didn't see much migration passage............just over 100 Black Kites was the best sighting with 65 of these perched along a fence-line...................

A better day weather-wise, we also saw more species than any previous day on this tour, the highlight must have been the sight of several thousand Greater Flamingos at Laguna Fuente de Piedra........

The bad weather continued until it brightened in the afternoon, not a bad list today.......Eagle Owl, Bluethroat, Collared Pratincole, Stone Curlew, Bald Ibis, Wryneck.....

The weather played a big part of our sightings today it was dull and overcast with a couple of bright spells, it was cold too. So numbers were down but we managed to see some nice migrants ranging from Eagles to Flycatchers..........

Jimmy's flight was not until late in the day so we had a morning left in which to go birding. The weather was beautiful as usual as we set off down the hill to the Rio Genal. We had heard from Penny and Paul our local birding friends that Common Nightingales had arrived back on their breeding grounds so we went to look for them............
