Yet another lazy Sunday afternoon sitting by the river under my favourite tree, today we were joined by Sophie (Dawn's daughter) and her boy -friend John. Most of the usual suspects were there but Little-Ringed Plover and the Turtle Doves have now left the area.........
Peak migration time in Southern Spain is nearly upon us, very soon thousands upon thousands of kites, eagles, buzzards, harriers, storks and vultures will be making their way to Africa. Come and join us to see this fantastic avian spectacle................................
The very hot weather continued, we recorded 49C in the car this afternoon!! So our birding was restricted to early morning with an early finish........nevertheless we saw over 50 species............
A late afternoon visit to the local river proved to be a good decision as there was a lovely breeze and shelter under our favourite tree, the bird life was good too............................
