Our first day began at Malaga Airport, it was raining and rained for most of the day but we did have an hour or two in the afternoon with dryer warmer weather. We did managed to see over 55 species including some nice migrant species............
My second full-day out with local guide Roy was a bit of a wash out, it was dull and overcast, we had rain and sleet for most of the day but we still saw some good species..............
A full day out birding with local guide, Roy Adams, we saw a great range of species meeting all our targets which included 7 Woodpeckers, Eastern Imperial Eagle, Common Crane, Smew, Goosander, Garganey and so much more..........
THIS 4 DAY BREAK began at noon in Budapest as I arrived from London, it was 15C sunny with no wind. After a short delay in baggage collection I met my car hire representative who took me a few kilometres from the airport to pick up my hire car.
OUR LAST DAY HAD ARRIVED.............it seemed just like yesterday that we had arrived, the tour flew swiftly by, but we still had one birding excursion left to do..............
Transfer from Cerros to the dry forest region in the North Pacific, it got hotter and drier and the dry forest offered a completely different habitat................
We spent all morning walking the 'River Trail' in Carara National Park recording some excellent sightings, the afternoon was spent on a superb river cruise...........
We were now on the pacific slopes on the western side of the country, the weather got warmer and more humid and the birdlife changed completely..............
It was goodbye to Johan our guide for the last couple of days and also goodbye to Savegre Lodge, everyone had really enjoyed this magical place..........
