LONDON TO BUDAPEST - TRANSFER TO EGER - SHORT WALK AROUND HOTEL GROUNDS Our flight was delayed by 30 minutes but we touched down in Budapest more or less on time. The weather was good with sunny spells and 17C.

TSIKNIAS RIVER – KALLONI SALT PANS – TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT.......... The final day was here, we awoke to a brilliant morning, a cloudless sky, perfectly calm with exquisite light, what a dream. We had time for a few hour’s birding before driving to the airport so we made the most of it.

TSIKNIAS RIVER – LARDIA VALLEY – IPSILOU MONASTERY – SIGRI – SIGRI FIELDS – MELADIA TRACK FROM SIGRI TO ERESOS – KALLONI SALT PANS – TSIKNIAS RIVER Our final full day had arrived and boy did we go out with a bang! It was by far the most enjoyable day with some fantastic sightings and nice weather - sunny but still a cold northerly wind.

POTAMIA RESERVOIR - SIGRI VIA AGRA TO ERESOS COAST ROAD AND COAST TRACK TO SIGRI THEN SIGRI FIELDS AND UPPER FORD Glorious weather all day, lots of sunshine and little wind. Five Buntings are the birding headliners with Roller, Icterine Warbler and Eleonora's Falcon.

LONDON TO MYTILINE - TRANSFER TO SKALA KALLONI with a stop at Mesa Marshes. Late afternoon trip to Tsiknias River and Kalloni Salt Pans. Despite a two hour delay in our departure from London to Mytiline we had time for great birding once we arrived.

Rio Guadiaro at Estacion Cortes - Cueva de Gato - Llanos de Libar - Montejaque Gorge We visited a variety of habitats in the mountains north/east of Gaucin with some great sightings, another ROCK THRUSH sighting added to our enjoyment.
